Description
It is the road preferred by cyclists in the area for their training sessions thanks to its gradual increase in difficulty: initially the road is very scenic with spectacular balconies on the plain below. From Semonzo to Cima Grappa there are just over 18 kilometers to go uphill. One of the characteristics of the slope are certainly its numerous hairpin bends: as many as 29. The fact that there are so many and that the most demanding slopes are concentrated only in the second half of the climb divides the ascent into two sections, and it is right in the middle of the climb that challenging sections (with slopes up to 15%) alternate with pedalable sections that allow you to recover. The average slope of the climb is 8.3%. Make sure you have time to stop at the top of Monte Grappa. This mountain and its history are much, much bigger than cycling.
